Soil requirements: Hydroponic living walls don’t use soil. However, for other types, make sure to use high-quality soil and provide the right growing conditions for plants like climbing roses.
Watering: If planting in containers, make sure that there are adequate draining holes to prevent root rot. If planted in the ground, ensure the plants are watered according to their individual needs. Note: potted plants require misting or frequent watering.
Fertilizer needs: Plants in containers or pouches tend to leach out nutrients quicker due to frequent watering. Applying a slow-release fertilizer at the time of planting and supplementing it with a water-soluble fertilizer will benefit the plants throughout the growing season.
